It is well known that Sovata, thanks to its unique salty water, is one of the most popular and most visited tourist resorts not only in Szeklerland, but in all of Eastern Europe. Camping Stana de Vale is a great location for those who want to enjoy the wonderful benefits of the Sovata salty baths for a long time or just for a few days. At the same time, many of our guests are regular visitors of the salt mine in Praid.
Due to its advantageous location, the camping is an excellent starting point for exploring Salt County and Szeklerland, in order to visit the main sights of the surroundings. Attractions, such as the Salt Canyon near Praid, Corund’s clay pot fair, the house and monument of Tamási Áron in Lupeni, the Szekler Gates of Seiche, the Odorheiu Secuiesc sculpture park, are all just an hour’s drive away.
On a day trip you can take a nice tour in the Gheorgheni Valley, visiting the historical center and the attractions of Gheorgheni, from here visiting Red Lake and Bicaz Gorges, both rare and unmatched beauty objectives. For our guests wishing to take a trip in this direction, we recommend a stop at Borsika Guesthouse in Ciumani.
Following another direction, from Odorheiu Secuiesc, the visitor can reach through the Homorod Baths (a well-known locality thanks to its natural water sources) in the Ciuc Depression., Mikó Fortress in Miercurea Ciuc or Sântimbru-Băi are just some examples of the area’s attractions. Going through Miercurea Ciuc, do not miss to visit the place of world-renowned Pentecostal pilgrimage from Șumuleu Ciuc: the Franciscan Monastery of Șumuleu, and the shrine on Mount Șumuleu.
